International Desk: Senior US military officials are advising Ukraine not to launch any major attack on the Russian army for the time being. Reuters reported this information in a report on Friday (January 20).
According to Reuters, the United States is saying that when the Western countries can again send enough weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, they should start a new attack when the training of the Ukrainian troops is over. U.S. officials say to stay away from launching major attacks at the moment.
A source on condition of anonymity also told Reuters that the United States will not give Abraham tanks to Ukraine and they are adamant about this decision. However, US President Joe Biden said, “Ukraine will get all the help it needs.”
The source also said that the goal of the United States now is to ensure that the Ukrainian troops can train well on the weapons that have been given to Ukraine. Because if they can use the weapons with proper training then maximum results will be obtained.
Last Thursday, the United States announced the delivery of hundreds of armored vehicles to Ukraine. In addition, US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman and White House adviser John Finner visited Kiev a few days ago. They met with Ukrainian officials.
Reuters reported that the Americans are currently talking about the city of Bakhmut in Donbass. They said that the Ukrainian forces have used all their might to keep control of the city. But Russia will take it anyway. So now one of their plans is to continue the fight to protect Bakhmut and prepare how they can resist the Russian troops stationed elsewhere.
In addition, US officials are talking about eliminating the issue of shooting in parallel with Russia. Because they think that one day the shelling of Ukraine will end but the Russians will remain. Through which they will get benefits. Source: Reuters.
