The government has fixed the dengue test fee

Staff Reporter: Until now, the dengue test was free in government hospitals, but now the government has fixed the dengue test fee. From now on, 100 taka will be charged in government hospitals and 300 taka in private hospitals for dengue test.

Minister of Health and Family Welfare Zahid Malek told reporters after the meeting titled ‘Review on mental health care at the community level’ at the meeting room of the National Mental Health Institute and Hospital on Sunday (November 6).

The minister said, we have given instructions to charge a fee of 100 rupees for NS-1 antigen test for dengue patients in government hospitals. At the same time, the private hospital has been asked to take 300 taka. This will be effective from now on.

Until today dengue tests were free in government hospitals. And private hospitals were charging 600 to 1200 taka.

Government hospitals will now charge Rs 100 for NS-1 test, Rs 250 for CBC test and Rs 250 for IGM.
